According to Parker, Arsenal might be feeling the absence of Emile Smith Rowe, who joined Fulham over the summer.

Parker praised Smith Rowe as a player Arsenal need, criticizing Saka and Gabriel Martinelli for not meeting expectations.

Parker commented, “Saka is a bit overrated and always seems injured, especially when Arsenal are trailing in a match. Him and Ødegaard could have formed a great duo, but circumstances have changed.”

While Parker acknowledged Smith Rowe’s departure was justified due to limited opportunities, he emphasized the midfielder’s immense talent and potential, contrasting it with his lukewarm assessment of Martinelli.

Saka is currently sidelined with an injury sustained during Arsenal’s draw with Chelsea. His availability for their upcoming clash against Nottingham Forest remains uncertain, raising concerns as Arsenal seeks to regain form in a challenging season.
