Former Sweden head coach Janne Andersson recently explained why he turned down the opportunity to coach Nigeria’s Super Eagles. Although Andersson was a top candidate for the position, he revealed that despite the Nigerian Football Federation’s (NFF) persistence, he had concerns over the terms of the offer.
Andersson stated that the overall situation “didn’t feel 100 percent right” for him to commit fully. He emphasized that for him to take on any new coaching role, everything would need to align perfectly. At the moment, Andersson is focused on other professional activities, such as mentorship and board roles
