Despite reports of a contract clause allowing him to leave during the January transfer window, Özbek emphatically dismissed any rumors of an early departure.

“Osimhen is our player this season. Of course, all clubs want to transfer Osimhen at the end of the season. One of the most important factors is the formation of spending limits,” Özbek told Sabah Spor.

For Özbek, keeping Osimhen is integral to the club’s ambitions of securing another Super Lig title and earning the coveted 5th star on their jersey. He stated:

“It is too early for that. Our goal this season is to be the champion and wear the 5th star.”

The Nigerian striker has been a pivotal figure in Galatasaray’s attack, helping them maintain their position at the top of the table. His blend of power, precision, and clinical finishing has made him a fan favorite at the Yellow and Reds.

Osimhen’s prolific performances have not gone unnoticed, with reports linking him to Europe’s elite clubs. While the player’s contract reportedly includes a January exit clause, Özbek’s remarks suggest that Galatasaray is prepared to hold firm and resist any mid-season offers.

As Galatasaray aims to cement its dominance domestically and make strides in European competitions, Osimhen’s presence will be vital. While transfer speculation may persist, Özbek’s statement sends a strong message: Osimhen is staying put, at least until the end of the season.

Fans of the Yellow and Reds will now hope their star striker can maintain his red-hot form and lead them to championship glory.
