The Turkish giants are keen on bolstering their left-back options and have already made contact with Portuguese club Boavista regarding the availability of the 25-year-old.

Boavista is willing to part with Onyemaechi for a transfer fee of approximately €2 million, and with two years remaining on his contract, the full-back could be set for a move. Onyemaechi originally joined Boavista on loan from CD Feirense in 2022, before his move was made permanent the following season.

So far this season, Onyemaechi has made 11 league appearances for Boavista, scoring once, and his solid performances have caught the eye of Trabzonspor, who are looking to add depth to their defensive options in the new year.

As Trabzonspor look to make their move, it remains to be seen whether Boavista will let go of the promising Nigerian defender or hold out for a higher fee.
