Ademola Lookman avoided addressing his ongoing feud with Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini following his stellar brace in Sunday’s 5-0 demolition of Empoli.

The tension between the two erupted after Gasperini publicly criticized Lookman for taking a penalty in last Tuesday’s Champions League loss to Club Brugge.

The Nigerian winger hit back, calling the comments “disrespectful.”

Despite his match-winning performance, Lookman dodged questions about whether the dispute was settled.

When Sky Sport Italia pressed him on the issue, he simply shrugged, glanced around, and responded with a short, “Finished?”

Adding to the speculation, Lookman was subbed off in the 73rd minute, exchanging handshakes with assistant manager Tullio Gritti but noticeably ignoring Gasperini.

Speaking to DAZN, the reigning African Footballer of the Year kept the focus on Atalanta’s dominant win. “The team played well, we put in a strong performance, and everyone showed quality,” he said. “We take each game as it comes and must keep this momentum going.”

While Lookman continues to shine on the pitch, his relationship with Gasperini remains an open question.
