Iwobi, in scintillating form, netted twice in the match, capitalizing on an early mistake by Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen to give Fulham an early lead. Later, the 28-year-old sealed the victory with a stunning curled effort, marking three goals and two assists in his last four appearances.
Silva was full of admiration for Iwobi’s impact on the team. “Alex has been outstanding from the first day of pre-season. He is in a happy place and he is a fantastic footballer,” Silva told the BBC.
Reflecting on Iwobi’s growth, Silva added, “Last season was his best season in the Premier League, and one or two months ago I said he would be even better in this one. He’s really versatile and I can use him in many different positions.”
Iwobi’s performance underscores his importance to Fulham’s attacking setup, with Silva lauding his increased output. “He’s a top player with the way he can assist and score goals more than ever. What a game for him, and he deserved all the credit.”
Fulham fans will be delighted with Iwobi’s consistent contributions as the team continues to chase success in the Premier League.
