Pereira denied the authenticity of the statements, calling the translation “malicious and inaccurate” and affirming his commitment to Fulham.

He criticized the translation of his comments, stating that they were distorted and did not reflect his sentiments. Pereira also called for a retraction, urging respect for truth in public discourse.

Despite Pereira’s absence, Fulham secured a 1-1 draw against Tottenham. Brennan Johnson gave Spurs an early lead, but Tom Cairney equalized to earn Fulham a valuable point.
