Pereira took to Instagram to clarify his position, emphasizing his satisfaction at Fulham and commitment to honoring his two-year contract.
He criticized the translation of his comments, stating that they were distorted and did not reflect his sentiments. Pereira also called for a retraction, urging respect for truth in public discourse.
Despite Pereira’s absence, Fulham secured a 1-1 draw against Tottenham. Brennan Johnson gave Spurs an early lead, but Tom Cairney equalized to earn Fulham a valuable point.
