AC Milan are already preparing for a managerial change, with club legend Cesc Fabregas emerging as the top candidate to replace Sergio Conceição. The former Porto manager, who took charge at San Siro in December, is struggling to turn things around.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri’s hierarchy has already identified Fabregas as the No.1 target for the summer. The 37-year-old, a former Arsenal and Chelsea midfield maestro, has made a promising start to his coaching career, guiding Como to Serie A promotion in his first full season.

Fabregas isn’t the only name linked with the potential vacancy. Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, who briefly coached him at Stamford Bridge, and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi are also being considered. However, Milan’s management is reportedly most keen on Fabregas due to his tactical approach and leadership qualities.

Meanwhile, Fabregas’s managerial potential has also drawn praise from former Chelsea teammate Loic Remy, who recently tipped him for a future return to Stamford Bridge. Speaking to Plejmo.com, Remy said, “Cesc was always one step ahead on the pitch, seeing passes others couldn’t. I can definitely see him managing Chelsea one day.”

While a move back to London could be a long-term possibility, Fabregas’s immediate future may lie in Milan. As the pressure mounts on Conceição, the Rossoneri could act swiftly to bring in a fresh face and turn their season around.
