Arsenal is gearing up for a massive summer shake-up as Mikel Arteta aims to finally secure the Premier League title. With their domestic cup hopes dashed and their league campaign faltering, the Gunners are set to part ways with several players to make room for new signings.
Trailing Liverpool by six points, Arsenal’s title bid could take another hit if the Reds extend their lead on Wednesday. Their Champions League aspirations remain alive, but club legend Paul Merson doubts their chances after a disappointing showing against Newcastle.

To reshape the squad, Arteta has reportedly approved the exit of seven first-team players. Loan deals for Raheem Sterling and Neto will not be extended, with Sterling struggling to make an impact and Neto serving only as a temporary solution.
Additionally, Thomas Partey, Jorginho, and Kieran Tierney are set to leave as free agents. While Jorginho and Tierney nearly departed in January, Arteta held onto them due to squad depth concerns. Talks are ongoing with Flamengo and Celtic for their summer moves.
Defensive duo Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior will also be shown the door after falling out of favor. Kiwior has suitors despite failing to impress since his £16 million arrival, but Arsenal may find it harder to offload Zinchenko, given the lack of interest in January.
While these departures won’t generate huge transfer fees, they will free up significant wages, allowing Arteta to target a top-tier striker, defensive midfielder, and goalkeeper.

RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is a prime forward target, with Newcastle’s Alexander Isak only available for a record fee. Reports suggest Arsenal has secured Martin Zubimendi for £51 million and is pushing for teenage prospect Sverre Nypan after a failed winter bid.
To complete the revamp, Arteta wants a reliable backup goalkeeper, with Espanyol’s Joan Garcia emerging as the leading candidate.
For now, Arsenal must focus on closing the gap to Liverpool, starting with their crucial away clash against struggling Leicester City on Saturday.
