Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed promising updates on William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly as the team prepares to face Wolves on Saturday.

Both players, sidelined with minor injuries, are expected to return next week, though their availability for the weekend remains undecided.

“Myles has a minor issue; we’ll meet with the medical staff,” Arteta explained on Friday. “Willy’s situation is similar, and both should be back in action next week. We’ll monitor their progress this week.”

Saliba, who has missed the last two games, saw his absence covered by Jurrien Timber and Jakub Kiwior. However, Arsenal’s defensive depth is thin, with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu also out.

White, sidelined since November with a knee injury, is nearing a return. “He hasn’t joined training yet but is very close to doing so,” Arteta confirmed.

Offensive challenges compound the Gunners’ injury woes, as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus are out long-term.

Arteta has hinted at signing a forward in the January window. “We’ve lost two key players, Saka and Jesus. Goals and attacking options are limited, and if the right player is available, we’ll act,” he said.

Arsenal’s clash with Wolves at Molineux on Saturday at 3 PM will test their resilience amid growing squad challenges.
