Despite dominating possession and creating opportunities, Arsenal failed to capitalize on Liverpool’s dropped points and missed a golden chance to narrow the gap at the top.
Everton, who offered little attacking threat, managed to hold firm with a determined defensive display and some crucial saves from Jordan Pickford.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s second-half substitutions, including the removal of Martin Ødegaard and Declan Rice, failed to turn the tide.
Late introductions of Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard didn’t yield results, while Kai Havertz’s continued struggles in front of goal drew criticism.
Gabriel Jesus, who has scored just one league goal this year, and Havertz were singled out by Morgan on social media.
“This is utter crap by Arsenal,” Morgan fumed on X. “Havertz and Jesus will not win us the League. For God’s sake, buy a bloody striker who can.”
Arteta, however, struck a composed tone after the match, pointing to the team’s efforts but acknowledging the need for more clinical finishing.
“We opened them up, had the chances, but we didn’t put them away. Everton got a point, and they’re happy with the result,” he said.
The draw leaves Arsenal searching for solutions to their scoring woes as the title race heats up, with fans and critics calling for a game-changing signing in the January transfer window.
