Nwaneri, 17, has already shown his capabilities, debuting at 15 to become the Premier League’s youngest player and notching three league appearances this season. Recently, he scored his first senior goal in the League Cup against Bolton, playing the full match.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Lewis-Skelly, a versatile asset, showcased his potential by replacing Riccardo Calafiori in the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk, filling in as a left-back ahead of the experienced Oleksander Zinchenko.

Injury Woes Push Youngsters Forward

Arsenal faces notable injuries as they prepare for Liverpool. Both Calafiori and Jurrien Timber are doubtful after missing recent training, while William Saliba will sit out due to suspension. Midfield maestro Martin Odegaard is sidelined, and Bukayo Saka remains a significant doubt, potentially limiting Arsenal’s options even further.

In light of these setbacks, Arteta has expressed complete confidence in his young stars. Speaking at a press conference, he remarked, “They are there. They are in contention. They always give us the option and the possibility to start the game.”

Arteta praised the youngsters’ composure and fearlessness, suggesting they bring a unique energy and connect with the crowd—a factor he considers crucial in high-stakes matches.

With Liverpool on the horizon, Arsenal fans might witness the rise of two future stars as Arteta demonstrates his belief in the club’s promising young talent.
