Atalanta are optimistic that Ademola Lookman will be fit for the second leg of their pivotal UEFA Champions League playoff against Club Brugge.
The Nigerian forward has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in training last month, forcing him to miss six games across all competitions.
However, there is now hope that he could make his long-awaited return just in time for Tuesday’s must-win fixture.
Lookman participated in Sunday’s full training session with the team, completing the drills without issue. He is set to train again on Monday, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 27-year-old is likely to be available for selection against Club Brugge.
The winger has been instrumental for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side this season, registering 14 goals and seven assists in 24 appearances.

His potential return provides a significant boost as Atalanta look to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit and secure a place in the Champions League Round of 16.
With Lookman’s comeback on the horizon, Atalanta fans will be hoping his firepower can make the difference in this high-stakes European battle.
