Reports from Tuttosport reveal that Liverpool approached Atalanta for Lookman, but the Italian club quickly rejected their request.
The 27-year-old has risen to prominence as one of the world’s top forwards since joining Atalanta’s Gewiss Stadium.
Lookman played a pivotal role in helping Atalanta secure their first-ever European trophy last season.
His standout performance came in the Europa League final, where he netted a remarkable hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen.
Continuing his impressive form, Lookman has already tallied 11 goals and five assists in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.
His efforts earned him the prestigious African Footballer of the Year award on Monday, further solidifying his status as a key player for Atalanta.
