Silva, who faces Amorim’s Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, believes the Portuguese coach has made a remarkable impact, turning Sporting into a formidable team.
Since joining Sporting in 2020, Amorim led them to two league titles, revitalizing the club after nearly two decades without a championship. His strategic approach and united leadership have earned widespread acclaim in Portuguese football.
Silva noted that Amorim’s influence extends beyond tactics, as the coach’s synergy with the club’s president and sporting director has fostered a cohesive direction, transforming Sporting into a “big machine.”
Silva added that while he’ll be a rival in the Premier League, he respects Amorim’s accomplishments and considers his move to United well-deserved.
Amorim is set to join Manchester United next Monday, marking his debut in English football after his penultimate match with Sporting against Manchester City.
