Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is reportedly available for loan in the final week of the transfer window, with multiple clubs interested in the 20-year-old’s services.

The Republic of Ireland international has struggled for regular minutes this season, making just two Premier League starts under manager Marco Hurzeler.

Ferguson first emerged under Graham Potter and continued to develop under Roberto De Zerbi, but injuries have disrupted his progress this campaign.

He has missed seven matches due to an ankle injury and is now seeking more playing time elsewhere. Although Hurzeler initially dismissed the idea of Ferguson leaving, he recently acknowledged that a loan move might be the best option.

“The Brighton way is to develop young players, but they need regular game time to grow. We’ll decide together based on his needs and the club’s goals,” said Hurzeler ahead of Brighton’s match against Everton.

Previously linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, Ferguson is no longer a target for the Gunners due to loan restrictions, as Arsenal have already filled their Premier League loan quota with Raheem Sterling and Neto. However, other clubs, including West Ham, Bournemouth, and Fulham, are reportedly interested.

West Ham may hold an edge in negotiations, as their manager Graham Potter was the one who brought Ferguson to Brighton in 2021.

Interest from Bundesliga clubs has also been reported, potentially broadening the striker’s options.

With Brighton facing Nottingham Forest on Saturday, a decision on Ferguson’s future is expected soon as the transfer window approaches its deadline.
