Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has praised his England teammate Cole Palmer after Palmer won the England Player of the Year award, edging out both Saka and Jude Bellingham.

“Credit to Cole for winning Player of the Year. It’s a big achievement and he deserves it. I was next to him at the time; his mouth was just open—he couldn’t believe it,” Saka shared.
Despite not starting any matches during Euro 2024, Palmer made an impact by scoring his first international goal in England’s 2-1 defeat to Spain in the final. He also provided the assist for Ollie Watkins’ decisive goal in the semi-final victory over the Netherlands.
