The game started with FC Heidenheim stunning the BayArena as Niklas Dorsch and Marvin Pieringer combined beautifully for the opener in the 10th minute.

Leverkusen began their comeback in the 30th minute as Exequiel Palacios latched onto a Granit Xhaka assist to halve the deficit. Just two minutes later, Patrik Schick equalized with precision, finishing a setup from Palacios.

The second half saw Leverkusen take control, with Florian Wirtz assisting Schick’s second goal in the 52nd minute to make it 3-2. Arthur joined the fray in the 71st minute, providing an assist for Schick to complete his hat-trick.

Granit Xhaka capped off a fine evening with a goal in the 82nd minute, set up by Nathan Tella, to seal the emphatic win.
