The home-based Super Eagles face a tough challenge as they gear up to take on their perennial rivals, Ghana, in a two-legged contest next month.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies had denied Nigeria a spot in the previous edition of the CHAN tournament. However, Eguavoen is optimistic about turning the tide this time. Speaking on Eagle7fm Sports Radio, he stated, “We will qualify and do well at the CHAN.”
The first leg will take place in Ghana, while Nigeria will host the return leg. The main tournament will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. CHAN is a competition exclusively for players competing in their respective domestic leagues.
