Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has singled out Fulham stars Alex Iwobi, Raul Jimenez, and Adama Traore for praise after their stellar performances in Fulham’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea in Thursday’s Premier League clash.

The Blues suffered a surprising defeat in the west London derby, with Maresca acknowledging the trio’s influence, particularly in transitions, which proved difficult for his side to manage.

Speaking to reporters post-match, Maresca reflected on his team’s performance and highlighted areas for improvement: “Yeah, it is exactly what I said to them. We can manage the game better,” he said.

“I think we conceded too many transitions in the second half. It is a team with Iwobi, Adama, Jimenez. They are very good in transition, and you have to control better. But it is a game that we can learn many things from.”

Iwobi’s midfield composure, Traore’s explosive pace, and Jimenez’s intelligent positioning caused Chelsea problems throughout the game. Their combined efforts helped Fulham maintain control in key moments, ensuring the victory despite Chelsea’s attempts to bounce back.

Maresca’s comments underline the respect Fulham’s trio has earned in the league, with the win serving as a reminder of their quality in high-pressure situations. For Chelsea, the loss highlights areas to address as they continue their Premier League campaign.
