Meanwhile, Ferguson, 20, remains a key target, but Brighton are reportedly demanding £80–100 million for the Republic of Ireland international. Despite being linked with other Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Leicester, and West Ham, Ferguson’s contract at Brighton runs until 2029.
Recent reports suggest Ferguson may be loaned out in January due to limited game time, having scored just one goal in all competitions this season. Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, however, remains committed to the player.
“I’m really happy to have Evan in the squad,” Hurzeler said. “The most important thing is being honest and finding the right solution for both the player and the club. Hopefully, he’ll be back on the pitch soon.”
