Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca could unveil a fully rotated lineup against Newcastle United in the Premier League, as the Blues leverage their squad depth following Thursday’s Europa Conference League win over Panathinaikos.

None of the starters from last Sunday’s clash with Liverpool were featured in that game, giving several key players rest in preparation for Newcastle’s visit to Stamford Bridge.

Cole Palmer and Wesley Fofana were left out of the Europa Conference League squad entirely, while first-team players Levi Colwill, Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, Reece James, and Malo Gusto stayed in London, skipping the trip to Greece.

Midweek saw Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella as the only usual starters in action, while Romeo Lavia and captain Reece James made returns to fitness in Chelsea’s recent 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, adding options to Maresca’s squad.

Fofana and Cucurella, having served suspensions against Liverpool, are now eligible to face Newcastle. Nicolas Jackson remains the primary striker, and while Jadon Sancho has been a consistent right-wing choice, his half-time substitution last week suggests potential rotation in the attack.

Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Pedro Neto each netted goals against Panathinaikos, giving Maresca tough decisions on his forward lineup.

Predicted Lineups:

Chelsea’s possible starting XI in a 4-2-3-1 formation could include: Sanchez; Cucurella, Colwill, Fofana, James; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.

Where to Watch:

Chelsea vs. Newcastle kicks off at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, available on Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Main Event, and for streaming on Sky Go and NOW TV.
