Joe Cole has drawn comparisons between Chelsea’s £5m signing Marc Guiu and Barcelona legend Luis Suarez, after the 18-year-old impressed in the Europa Conference League win over Astana.
In Chelsea’s dominant 3-1 victory, Guiu scored the opening goal, marking his third for the club since joining last summer.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Cole admired Guiu’s movement, energy, and aggression, stating, “He must have watched Luis Suarez at Barcelona as a young man.”
Cole emphasized that Guiu, despite being just 18, has immense potential, and Chelsea has secured a true talent.
