This marked Chukwueze’s 10th appearance of the season, having previously scored once for the Rossoneri.
His efforts on the right flank saw him substituted in the 81st minute for midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek as Milan sought to maintain control in the game’s final stages.
Monza initially believed they had taken the lead in the eighth minute, with Dany Mota’s deflected finish off a knockdown from Djuric.
However, the goal was disallowed due to a foul on Theo Hernandez during the buildup. Milan seized their chance on a counter-attack when Christian Pulisic’s cross from the right found Alvaro Morata, whose header was blocked by Armando Izzo.
The ball fell perfectly to Tijjani Reijnders, who nodded in the decisive goal from close range, sealing three points for AC Milan.
