Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked Al-Nassr to secure the services of Manchester United midfielder Casemiro as the Saudi Pro League club aims to bolster their squad.

The Portuguese star, whose current contract with Al-Nassr expires this summer, is seeking reinforcements to challenge rivals Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal effectively.

Ronaldo and Casemiro share a rich history of success from their time together at Real Madrid, where they played key roles in multiple Champions League triumphs.

According to reports from Marca, Ronaldo sees Casemiro as an ideal addition to elevate Al-Nassr’s competitiveness.

Casemiro, 32, joined Manchester United in 2022 for £70 million but could now leave the club as they aim to offload his £350,000-a-week salary. This move would allow United to free up funds to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s squad.

With the Saudi Pro League emerging as a likely destination, Casemiro might reunite with Ronaldo to embark on a new chapter in their careers.

Despite his current contract being worth over £177 million per year, Ronaldo has expressed his commitment to staying in Saudi Arabia, provided Al-Nassr demonstrates ambition in the transfer market.

Speaking recently, Ronaldo shared his satisfaction with life in the country but emphasized the need for a stronger squad.

“I’m happy and my family is happy. Life is good, football is good. It’s hard to compete with teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, but we are still pushing and fighting. The most important thing is to remain professional and believe in change,” Ronaldo stated.

Al-Nassr’s pursuit of Casemiro, if successful, would mark a significant statement of intent, underscoring the club’s ambition to dominate the Saudi Pro League and achieve greater success in domestic and regional competitions.
