Matheus Cunha has reaffirmed his happiness at Wolves but hinted at ambitions beyond Molineux, as speculation over his future continues to grow.
The Brazilian forward has been a standout performer for Wolves this season, playing a crucial role in keeping Vítor Pereira’s side clear of the relegation battle.
With 13 goals and four assists in 25 league appearances, his form has attracted interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Despite intense transfer rumors, Wolves managed to retain Cunha in the January window and even secured his long-term commitment with a new contract.
However, reports suggest that the deal includes a £62 million release clause, which could tempt top clubs into making a move this summer.
Speaking to the BBC about the speculation surrounding his future, Cunha maintained that he had no intention of leaving Wolves mid-season.
However, he did acknowledge that he aspires to “play for something more” in the future.
“I never think about leaving, honestly,” Cunha said. “This club gave me the chance to come back. I had good days at Atlético, but there was a lot of doubt inside me.

Wolves opened the door, and I’ve always wanted to give back. Leaving now would be difficult.”
While emphasizing his loyalty to Wolves, Cunha admitted that every player dreams of taking the next step in their career.
“It wouldn’t be right to say I don’t want to play for something bigger,” he added. “It’s like any job everyone wants to progress. But I leave my future in God’s hands. Right now, I’m happy here and want to keep doing well.”
Arsenal are expected to be among the frontrunners for Cunha’s signature as they look to strengthen their attacking options in the summer.
Chelsea, seeking to provide competition for Nicolas Jackson, and Manchester United, reportedly eyeing an upgrade in their forward line, are also closely monitoring his situation.
With his performances continuing to impress, the battle for Cunha’s signature could be one of the most intriguing transfer sagas of the summer.
