Stability within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will play a pivotal role as the Super Eagles approach the decisive phases of their World Cup qualifiers.

This assertion was made by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, while congratulating Dr. Mohammed Sanusi on his reappointment as the NFF General Secretary.
During a courtesy visit to his office, Dikko emphasized the NSC’s commitment to ensuring Nigeria’s participation in the upcoming World Cup.
“I congratulate Dr. Sanusi on his reappointment. We are entering a critical stage in our World Cup qualification journey, and maintaining stability is essential. His presence brings the experience and focus we need,” Dikko remarked.
Highlighting Sanusi’s vast experience, including his role as chairman of the Africa Football Federations General Secretaries group and as a seasoned match commissioner, Dikko stressed that Sanusi’s leadership would be instrumental in guiding the team during this period.
The NSC chairman further reiterated the Commission’s determination to collaborate with all Sports Federations to achieve their goals.
“We are committed to working closely with the Sports Federations. Their success is our success.
This is why we have initiated one-on-one engagements to understand their challenges and provide tailored support,” he added.
In response, Dr. Sanusi assured the NSC of the NFF’s unwavering commitment to its vision for advancing Nigerian sports.
“We recognize the dynamic leadership of the NSC and will align with their goals. Securing the World Cup ticket is our top priority, and we will do everything within our power to achieve it,” Sanusi declared.
Sanusi also expressed gratitude to the President for appointing capable technocrats to head the NSC.
“We deeply appreciate the President’s foresight in these appointments. The NSC’s leadership team has the expertise to transform Nigerian sports.
Their experience in administration and marketing will undoubtedly drive the sports economy forward,” he concluded.
