The match unfolded with intensity from the start, with the referee blowing the whistle to kick things off. As the first half progressed, Chelsea’s players struggled to maintain their composure, receiving multiple yellow cards.

By the 16th minute, Fabian Schar was cautioned, quickly followed by Sean Longstaff, who also saw a yellow card for a foul shortly after.

The first breakthrough came in the 23rd minute when Sandro Tonali provided a brilliant assist for Alexander Isak, who made no mistake in finding the back of the net.

Just three minutes later, chaos ensued as Axel Disasi inadvertently directed the ball into his own net, doubling Newcastle’s lead.

As the match continued, Chelsea’s frustrations mounted, resulting in further bookings, including a yellow card for Anthony Gordon in the 52nd minute and for Nick Pope in the 55th.

Newcastle made crucial substitutions in the latter stages, including bringing on Lewis Miley for Sandro Tonali in the 90+2 minute, while Chelsea also made changes in an attempt to turn the tide.

Anthony Gordon was replaced by Daniel Burn, and Lewis Hall made way for Valentino Livramento as the game entered its final stretch.

Despite their efforts, Chelsea couldn’t find a way back into the match. The referee eventually blew the whistle for half-time with the scoreline at 2-0 in favor of Newcastle.

The second half saw no goals, but it was filled with tactical adjustments and continued pressure from both sides. Ultimately, Newcastle held onto their lead, sealing a well-deserved win over Chelsea.
