Emmanuel Petit has shared his thoughts on which Chelsea player he would love to see at Arsenal, and it’s not Cole Palmer, despite the forward’s brilliant start to the season.

Arsenal will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, looking to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 loss to Inter Milan in midweek, which followed a string of poor performances away from home.
While Palmer has been one of the standout players in the Premier League, Petit believes it’s Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo who would have a greater impact at the Emirates.
The midfielder, who Arsenal tried to sign two years ago, has been finding his feet at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca’s management, gradually proving why he was worth the hefty transfer fee.
In an interview with Instant Casino, Petit said, “If I could pick one Chelsea player to put into the Arsenal team, actually, that would be Moises Caicedo, definitely. I would probably take Cole Palmer as well, but I will go for Caicedo.”
Caicedo’s form has improved significantly, and Petit would love to see him paired alongside Declan Rice in Arsenal’s midfield. However, Rice has been struggling so far this season and is currently a doubt for the match against Chelsea due to a toe injury.
Petit also pointed out that Martin Ødegaard’s absence might have affected Rice’s performances, but he suggested that fatigue from a long season, including the European Championship, could be taking its toll on the England international.
Petit stressed that rotation in the squad is crucial, especially with the demanding Champions League schedule.
