Former Nigerian international Emmanuel Amuneke has commended Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for staying at Galatasaray during the January transfer window. Osimhen, who joined the Turkish club from Napoli last summer, has significantly impacted the team.
Speaking with Africa Foot, Amuneke emphasized that Osimhen made the right call by resisting the urge to leave despite interest from other clubs. According to the 54-year-old, the striker has flourished at Galatasaray, where he feels valued and supported.
“He has been warmly received in Turkey, and it’s important he shows appreciation for that,” Amuneke remarked. “He has regained his full potential thanks to the trust placed in him after his fallout in Naples.”
