Mahmoud Hamada was the star for the hosts, scoring twice within the first 20 minutes. His first came in the 5th minute, with the second arriving in the 19th, leaving Yemi Olanrewaju’s men chasing shadows for much of the game.
Enyimba’s Defensive Efforts
Goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena was instrumental in preventing a more lopsided scoreline, making several key saves in the second half. However, Enyimba’s lack of attacking spark meant they posed little threat to Al Masry throughout the match.
What’s Next for Enyimba
The People’s Elephant will aim to regroup ahead of their next challenge, hosting defending champions Zamalek on December 8. Olanrewaju will need to address the team’s issues quickly to boost their chances of advancing in the tournament.
