The match started with high intensity, as both teams quickly settled into a fast-paced rhythm. Arsenal began to dominate possession early on, with Martin Ødegaard pulling the strings in midfield.

Chelsea, however, were not passive and showed attacking intent, with Raheem Sterling making several runs behind the Arsenal defense.

In the 12th minute, Arsenal broke the deadlock. A well-timed pass from Ødegaard found Gabriel Martinelli, who slotted the ball past Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez, with composure. The Gunners looked confident after the early lead and continued to apply pressure, with Bukayo Saka testing Sanchez with a powerful shot from distance.

Chelsea responded just before the half-hour mark. Pedro Neto, who had been a constant threat on the left wing, scored a stunning equalizer in the 29th minute.

The Chelsea winger picked up the ball near the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot that curled into the top corner, leaving Raya with no chance. The score was now 1-1, and the match was well and truly on.

The rest of the first half saw both teams creating chances. Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus came close to restoring the lead in the 38th minute, but his header was cleared off the line by Chelsea’s Thiago Silva.

Chelsea also had their chances, with Enzo Fernandez testing Raya from long range, but the goalkeeper was equal to the task.

The second half began with both teams looking to take control, but the game remained open. In the 51st minute, Arsenal had the ball in the net again, but the goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR review. Trossard had slotted home a rebound following a save from Sanchez, but he was offside in the build-up.

Arsenal kept pushing forward, dominating possession and continuing to create chances. Leandro Trossard was particularly dangerous, making runs into the box, but Chelsea’s defense stood firm.

In the 63rd minute, a brilliant cross from Ødegaard found Martinelli, whose header just missed the target.

Chelsea, however, wasn’t without their chances. In the 74th minute, Sterling found himself in a good position after a quick counter-attack, but his shot went just wide of the post. Both teams seemed to have their moments, but neither could break the deadlock.

As the match entered its final stages, both managers made changes, but the intensity remained high. Arsenal’s intensity on the ball was evident, but Chelsea’s defense, with the likes of Silva and Cucurella, held firm.

In the 88th minute, Chelsea came close again, with Conor Gallagher forcing a great save from Raya after a well-placed shot from outside the box.

The final whistle blew, and both teams were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw, with neither able to find a late winner. The match ended with plenty of action, but no final breakthrough.
