English Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on Nigerian striker Chrisantus Uche, with a potential move from Getafe on the horizon, according to Sofftfootball.

Uche, 21, joined Getafe from Spanish club Ceuta during the summer transfer window for a modest fee of €500,000.
Since his arrival, he has quickly risen through the ranks to become Getafe’s first-choice striker, pushing Spanish forward Borja Mayoral to the sidelines.
Despite scoring just one goal in ten La Liga appearances, Uche’s overall performances have shown significant promise, drawing the attention of top clubs, including Chelsea.
According to Football Espana, Chelsea are monitoring Uche closely and could make an offer in the near future.
This interest aligns with Chelsea’s transfer strategy of targeting young and relatively unproven talents from across the world.
The Blues had previously made an attempt to sign another Nigerian striker, Samuel Omorodion, from Atletico Madrid last season, but the deal fell through at the last minute.
Uche’s current market value is estimated at €5 million by Transfermarkt, but Getafe could demand up to twice that amount for their rising star.
The Nigerian forward is under contract with the La Liga club until 2028, with an option for an additional year, meaning Getafe holds the advantage in any potential negotiations.
With Chelsea showing interest, other clubs may soon follow suit if Uche begins to find the back of the net more consistently.
