Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles forward, received warm birthday wishes on his 26th birthday from Turkish giants Galatasaray, French club Lille, and Ligue 1.
Galatasaray took to X, sharing, “Join us in wishing @victorosimhen9 a happy birthday!” Meanwhile, Ligue 1 called him “the King,” posting, “Happy birthday to the King Victor Osimhen.”
Lille also celebrated their former striker with a message on X: “Happy birthday @victorosimhen9. Our former striker celebrates his 26th birthday today.”
Osimhen’s rise to fame began in 2015 when he helped Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets clinch the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
He emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, netting 10 goals. His performance earned him a move to Wolfsburg, where he struggled for playing time.
A loan spell at Charleroi reignited his career, leading to a move to Lille, where he impressed significantly.
This success saw him join Napoli, where he became Serie A’s top scorer during the 2022/23 season, helping the club secure their first league title since 1990.
In 2023, Osimhen was crowned CAF Player of the Year and played a key role in leading the Super Eagles to the AFCON final.
