Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has urged his old club to pursue a move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, believing he would be a better fit for the Gunners than current attacker Kai Havertz.

Gallas, who had a distinguished career at Arsenal, made his comments while discussing the club’s attacking options. Havertz, who arrived from Chelsea last summer, has struggled to consistently impress, managing 21 goals in 68 appearances. Gallas, however, is not convinced that the German international is the man to lead Arsenal’s attack.
“Kai Havertz has never been the right man to take Arsenal to the Premier League title,” Gallas remarked. “He’s a good player, but not world-class. Arsenal need a striker like Osimhen. It’s obvious they need to wake up.”
Gallas also questioned why Osimhen, widely regarded as one of the best strikers in Europe, is not playing in the Premier League. “I don’t understand why Osimhen is at Galatasaray,” he said. “He should be playing in the Premier League, and Arsenal could benefit from his talent.”
Osimhen has been a key figure at Napoli and has drawn attention from top clubs across Europe, with many believing the Nigerian striker could be a transformative addition to any side. Gallas’s endorsement of Osimhen highlights his belief that the player’s qualities are exactly what Arsenal need to enhance their chances of challenging for the Premier League title.
