Real Madrid’s interest in Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is well known, and with Dani Carvajal sidelined by a serious knee injury, rumors of a potential move to the Spanish capital have intensified. With Lucas Vázquez now 33 years old, Los Blancos are actively seeking a long-term solution for their right-back position.

Alexander-Arnold tops their wishlist, and at 25, he could sign a pre-contract with Real Madrid as early as January. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro has expressed openness to joining Madrid, and reports from *The Athletic* suggest that the club has been gathering positive scouting reports on him for years. However, signing Porro would be costly, with Daniel Levy unlikely to part easily with the player, who is under contract until 2028.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong presents a more affordable option, with a €40 million release clause. Frimpong is also open to a move to Spain and has flourished under Xabi Alonso, who could be a future Real Madrid manager. His athleticism and attacking style have earned him admiration from the club.

Real Madrid has also been monitoring Juanlu Sánchez, who was linked to the club last year, and Real Sociedad’s Jon Aramburu, a rising talent at Anoeta with a contract until 2027. Aramburu also impressed with Venezuela at Copa America, adding to his appeal.

Although interest in Juanlu seems to have cooled recently, the main question remains whether Madrid will act in January. Carlo Ancelotti is set to meet with Florentino Pérez soon to discuss potential moves, and it’s possible that Vázquez could depart at the end of his contract, with a younger right-back arriving in January and Alexander-Arnold potentially following in the summer.
