Gallas tells Chelsea to avoid signing Salah despite his stunning form

William Gallas has made a bold statement, insisting that Chelsea should not attempt to re-sign Mohamed Salah, despite the Egyptian forward’s remarkable form for Liverpool.

Salah, who had a brief and unremarkable stint at Chelsea early in his career, only netting twice in 19 appearances, was sold to Roma before moving to Liverpool in 2017.

Since then, Salah has evolved into one of Liverpool’s greatest players, scoring 227 goals in 371 appearances, leading the club to win both the Premier League and the Champions League.

This season, Salah has continued to shine, with 13 goals in 14 league games, but he is now in the final year of his contract at Anfield.

There has been no offer from Liverpool yet to extend his deal, and rumors are circulating that he may be tempted by a highly lucrative move to Saudi Arabia next summer.

Despite these speculations, Gallas believes that a return to Chelsea would not be beneficial for either the club or Salah.

Chelsea have had a strong start under their new manager, Enzo Maresca, and Gallas fears that signing Salah could disrupt the harmony of the current squad.

He explained to Prime Casino, “The current Chelsea team is young and developing together, and it’s working well for them. Adding someone like Salah, despite his individual brilliance, could upset the squad’s balance. There are no big egos in this team, and bringing in a star like Salah might change that.”

While Salah’s future remains uncertain, with the likelihood of him leaving Liverpool more than staying, he recently expressed his disappointment over the lack of a contract offer from the club.

He mentioned, “It’s almost December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay. I’m probably more out than in.

I’m focusing on the season, trying to win the Premier League and Champions League, but I’m disappointed.”

If this season does turn out to be Salah’s last at Liverpool, it could end on a high note, as the club currently leads both the Premier League and the Champions League, with Salah playing a key role in their success.
