Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, a top target for Arsenal, is reportedly frustrated by manager Ruben Amorim’s likely move to Manchester United. Amorim, one of Europe’s most promising young coaches, has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Erik ten Hag, with United expected to activate his £8.3 million release clause in the coming days.

The 39-year-old Portuguese coach has built a strong Sporting side, and his departure would be a major setback for the club. Players like Gyokeres and Morten Hjulmand, who turned down lucrative offers to stay in Lisbon under Amorim’s project, are said to be particularly disappointed by the looming exit.

Sporting had hoped to challenge for major trophies with Amorim at the helm, but his departure could now spark uncertainty within the squad.Gyokeres, who has been in exceptional form this season with 16 goals in 15 matches, remains a key player for Sporting, but his future could now be uncertain.

The Swedish striker is valued between €60m (£49.9m) and €70m (£58.2m), and Arsenal continues to closely monitor his situation. With Sporting potentially facing managerial instability, a January move for Gyokeres could become a realistic option if the right offer comes in.
