This praise comes alongside Baroni’s acknowledgment that the young midfielder must enhance his mentality to reach his full potential.

The 23-year-old was given a starting spot by Baroni and made a significant impact by assisting Lazio’s second goal, demonstrating his value to the team.

“It went well. The team prepared for the game effectively. Here there is a young team and environment that plays. Just look at how they pressed the goalkeeper in the second half,” Baroni stated.

He highlighted the importance of maintaining focus, even when leading, to ensure victory.

“I am happy for Samuel (Gigot); he can contribute a lot in all aspects: personality, charisma, character, and he is a strong player. We brought him back. Dele is not a surprise; you have to give him time.

There is a path that every player, when he arrives in a different environment and has different attention, has to create. He has quality and will grow exponentially, I am convinced of that,” Baroni added, emphasizing his belief in Ayodele-Bashiru’s potential.

Currently, Lazio leads their UEFA Europa League group stage, boasting nine points from three matches, having scored nine goals and conceded just one.
