Jobe Bellingham has been catching attention in the Championship with Sunderland, showcasing remarkable form that’s sparked interest from top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United.

However, the 18-year-old, who is the younger brother of Real Madrid and England sensation Jude Bellingham, appears to have made a decisive choice about his immediate future.

The talented midfielder has played a crucial role in Sunderland’s push for Premier League promotion this season. Despite Sunderland slapping a £20 million price tag on their starlet, Bellingham remains focused on staying at the club, which he joined for a modest £1.5 million from Birmingham 18 months ago.

Reports suggest that Bellingham has no plans to leave the North East in January, even with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Crystal Palace closely monitoring his progress. Instead, the midfielder is reportedly eyeing a move to Europe in the summer, inspired by his brother Jude’s successful pathway through Borussia Dortmund before his Real Madrid move.

Bellingham recently hinted at his contentment with Sunderland, emphasizing his connection with the fans and the team’s support system. After scoring a decisive goal in a victory over Swansea, he said:

“I try to calm myself down most of the time, but when I score, I just lose it, especially in front of the away fans. Moments like these are why you play football. The support from the fans is incredible, and I feel such a strong connection with them. Long may it continue.”

His older brother Jude was also spotted cheering him on from the stands during Sunderland’s recent games, reinforcing the family’s bond with the club.

Despite the allure of Premier League giants, Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes staying at Sunderland is the right decision for Jobe at this stage. Goodman praised the midfielder’s versatility, calling him “a player who can do everything – pass, dribble, tackle, create, and score goals.” He argued that staying with Sunderland for the rest of the season could result in promotion to the Premier League, offering the perfect platform for Bellingham’s continued growth.

For now, Jobe Bellingham is focused on finishing the season with Sunderland, leaving the door open for a potential European adventure in the summer. With his sights set high and a grounded support system, the young star is poised for an exciting future in football.
