In the incident, Ndidi committed a scissors-like tackle on Palmer, which referee Andy Madley deemed worthy only of a yellow card despite a VAR review. This decision has sparked discussions, with many feeling it was too lenient.

Joe Cole’s Perspective
Speaking on TNT Sports, Joe Cole called the tackle “terrible” and a clear case of reckless endangerment, stating: “If VAR is ever going to step in, it should have been for that tackle. It’s frustrating to see such leniency in a moment that could have caused serious injury.”

Cole also suggested that Ndidi’s tackle reflected Leicester’s frustration during the match and emphasized the potential impact it could have had on the game’s outcome.
