A hacked Juventus social media account stirred excitement among fans by seemingly confirming the signing of Arda Guler from Real Madrid. The incident unfolded on Monday when the club’s English X account posted: “Welcome to Juventus, Arda Guler! The rising star of football is now part of the Juventus family,” accompanied by a photo of the 19-year-old.

However, Juventus quickly moved to clarify the situation, announcing that their English account had been compromised. “Our Juventus English account has been compromised,” the club stated. “Please ignore the false information being published on this account. We are working on the issue.”

Arda Guler, who joined Real Madrid at the start of last season from Fenerbahce for an initial fee of €20 million, made a significant impact during his debut season, scoring six goals in 12 matches. He also showcased his talent on the international stage, notably scoring a stunning goal during Turkey’s 3-1 victory over Georgia in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.

Despite his promising start, Guler has had limited playing time this season, starting only three matches for Real Madrid. In their latest match, he remained an unused substitute as the team secured a 2-1 victory against Celta Vigo.

Juventus currently holds the third position in Serie A, trailing leaders Napoli by three points, following a narrow 1-0 win against Lazio last Saturday, aided by a late own goal.
