Victor Osimhen’s future remains a hot topic as Juventus consider a potential summer move, but former Italy forward Luca Toni has questioned whether the Nigerian would fit Thiago Motta’s system.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, is set to return to Napoli at the end of the season, where his €75m release clause will make him one of the most sought-after strikers.
Juventus have reportedly shown interest in the 26-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best forwards in the game.
However, Toni is unsure if Osimhen’s playing style aligns with Juventus’ tactical approach. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Bianconeri striker compared Osimhen’s attributes to those of Dusan Vlahovic.
“At the end of the season, Juventus must decide what kind of striker they want,” Toni said. “Osimhen offers more depth than Vlahovic but perhaps links the play even less than Dusan. So, I’m not sure he would make much of a difference under Thiago Motta.”
As Juventus weigh their options, the question remains whether Osimhen’s qualities will complement Motta’s vision for the team.
