West Bromwich Albion and Watford are reportedly eyeing a January move for Sevilla forward Kelechi Iheanacho, as the Nigerian struggles to make his mark in Spain.
Iheanacho joined Sevilla last summer after spending seven successful years at Leicester City, where he established himself as a key player.
However, his transition to LaLiga has been challenging. Despite his impressive pedigree, the 28-year-old has found it difficult to make an impact with the Rojiblancos.
So far, Iheanacho has made seven league appearances for Sevilla, mostly coming off the bench, and has yet to find the back of the net in LaLiga. His only goals this season have come in the Copa del Rey, where he has scored twice.
According to Spanish outlet El Sevillista, Championship sides West Bromwich Albion and Watford are keen to bring the Nigerian international back to England on loan during the January transfer window.
Both clubs are targeting promotion to the Premier League and believe Iheanacho’s experience could be pivotal in their campaigns.
The deal is expected to be a loan arrangement, allowing Iheanacho the chance to rediscover his form while boosting the promotion hopes of either suitor.
This potential move back to England could be an opportunity for Iheanacho to reignite his career, having previously thrived in the Premier League with Leicester City and Manchester City.
