Enzo Maresca has dismissed speculation linking Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with a January exit from Chelsea, despite reported interest from West Ham.

The midfielder shone under Maresca last season, playing a key role in Leicester City’s Championship-winning campaign before following his manager to Stamford Bridge in a £30 million summer transfer.

Unfortunately, Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League, clocking just 55 minutes across five substitute appearances.

While a regular in the Carabao Cup and Conference League, the 26-year-old has often been left out of Chelsea’s matchday squads, fueling rumors of an early departure.

Reports suggest that West Ham, under new manager Graham Potter, are eager to sign Dewsbury-Hall to bolster their struggling squad. However, Maresca has made it clear that the midfielder remains part of his plans.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup tie with Morecambe, Maresca said: “At this moment, Kiernan is our player, and for sure, he has a future with us.”

When asked about the possibility of a loan move, Maresca dismissed the idea, emphasizing that such decisions require agreement from all parties. He added, “It’s not just about what I want. At this moment, there is no plan for Kiernan to leave. He knows he has to fight for his place, and I trust that he will do so.”

Despite Maresca’s assurances, Dewsbury-Hall will not feature against Morecambe due to injury. Maresca also confirmed absences for Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile. Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell and Cesare Casadei are expected to leave the club and will not play.

Maresca explained, “For Ben, it’s better to avoid using him and prevent injuries as he considers his options. The same applies to Cesare.”

As Dewsbury-Hall remains focused on earning his spot in Chelsea’s squad, his future at Stamford Bridge appears secure, at least for now.
