Lamine Yamal Reveals the One Player He Desperately Wants at Barcelona

Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has set his sights on Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala as his ideal summer signing for the Catalan giants.

The 17-year-old winger, who has already become a key figure for both club and country, continues to impress with his rapid rise to stardom.

Since making his debut at just 15, Yamal has played a crucial role in Barcelona’s success, helping them finish as La Liga runners-up last season and leading Spain to Euro 2024 glory.

This season, he has already racked up five goals and ten assists in 21 league appearances, keeping Barca level with arch-rivals Real Madrid at the top of the table.

With his dazzling footwork and game-changing ability, Yamal has drawn comparisons to legends like Neymar and Lionel Messi.

His meteoric rise has often been likened to that of Musiala, a fellow young superstar who is tipped for future Ballon d’Or contention.

Despite the media hype around their rivalry, Yamal holds nothing but admiration for the German international. When asked to name his top three players outside of Barcelona, he told Mundo Deportivo: “Musiala, Neymar, Savinho.” Pressed further on which one he would love to see in a Barca shirt, he smiled and replied: “You want me to say Neymar… but no. Musiala.”

Unfortunately for Yamal, Musiala has just committed his future to Bayern Munich, signing a contract extension until 2030. The 21-year-old has been a key figure for the Bundesliga champions, scoring 58 goals in 195 appearances and winning multiple domestic and international titles.

As for Yamal’s own future, his current Barcelona contract is set to expire in 18 months, but he remains unfazed by the situation. Talks over a renewal have been postponed, as his focus remains on delivering success for the club.

“My situation will be resolved in July,” he stated. “But right now, my only focus is La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey. That is the most important thing. I don’t think anyone doubts my love for Barcelona.”

With Yamal fully committed to his team’s current campaign, Barca fans will be hoping his future remains at Camp Nou alongside stars like Musiala, if his dream ever comes true.
