Ndidi, who has made 15 appearances and provided four assists this season, was sorely missed as the Foxes struggled to contain Pep Guardiola’s side.
The game’s opening goal came in the 21st minute when Savinho capitalized on a rebound after Leicester’s stand-in goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk failed to hold Phil Foden’s shot.
Savinho was instrumental again in the 74th minute, delivering a pinpoint cross for Erling Haaland to nod home, doubling Manchester City’s lead and securing the victory.
The result marked Savinho’s first goal and assist for the club, underlining his growing importance to the team.
The win boosts Manchester City’s points tally to 31, keeping them firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish. Meanwhile, Leicester remain mired in the relegation zone with just 14 points, facing a critical fight for survival in the weeks ahead.
