Bayer Leverkusen is investigating a video allegedly showing Victor Boniface speeding and using his phone while driving.
The clip, shared by Nigerian rapper Zoro Swagbag on Thursday, reportedly shows Boniface in his Mercedes-AMG on the A4 highway, driving at 141km/h, exceeding the 120km/h limit.
He appears to scroll through Instagram and sing along to music while holding his phone.

This incident follows a severe crash on October 20, where Boniface survived a collision with a truck. The crash caused significant damages worth £167,000, leaving his vehicle totaled and him hospitalized with hand injuries.
Bayer Leverkusen acknowledged the video and stressed the importance of responsible driving, confirming the matter is under review and potential disciplinary action might follow.

Despite the controversy, Boniface remains in fine form, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances this season.
He has been linked to a move to Manchester United in January, as manager Ruben Amorim looks to bolster his squad. However, these off-field issues could impact his reputation and future opportunities.
Safety should come first. Hopefully, lessons are learned before another incident occurs.
