Ademola Lookman delivered a decisive late goal to secure Atalanta’s 2-1 victory over AC Milan in a thrilling Serie A encounter on Friday night.

The game started with Charles De Ketelaere giving Atalanta an early lead in the 12th minute. However, AC Milan responded quickly, leveling the score in the 22nd minute through Alvaro Morata.
The match appeared destined for a draw until Lookman emerged as the hero. With just three minutes remaining in regulation time, the Nigerian forward found the back of the net, sealing the win for Atalanta. Following his critical contribution, Lookman was substituted in the 90th minute.
Samuel Chukwueze, Lookman’s compatriot and fellow Super Eagles star, entered the game just before full time, adding a late Nigerian presence on the pitch.
The victory propelled Atalanta to the top of the Serie A table with 34 points, at least temporarily. They hold a two-point lead over Napoli, who could reclaim the summit if they win their upcoming fixture this weekend.
Lookman’s goal continues his excellent form this season, bringing his tally to an impressive eight goals in 12 league appearances. Atalanta’s fans will undoubtedly hope for more of the same as the season progresses.
