Manchester City have confirmed the tragic death of a supporter who suffered a medical emergency outside the Etihad Stadium ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby against Manchester United.

The incident occurred shortly before the 4:30 pm kick-off, with eyewitnesses describing the distressing scene. One witness recounted:
“We were entering through entrance K when we saw a man on the ground receiving CPR.
There was panic, with people shouting for a defibrillator. A young girl fetched it while stewards quickly formed a circle around him and worked on him for around 20 minutes before he was taken away in an ambulance. It was traumatic for everyone.”
Manchester City released an official statement on Monday expressing their condolences:
“Manchester City are aware of the tragic news that one of our supporters passed away following a medical incident at yesterday’s match.
The thoughts of everyone at the Club are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
The somber news overshadowed a dramatic 2-1 defeat for City in the derby. Despite leading through Josko Gvardiol’s first-half header, Manchester United stunned the hosts with two late goals.
